it's summer 2005. I'm in Tuscany with my parents, it'll be one of the last summers me and my family will spend time at the beach years in a row. we're in a hotel with another family staying over for more or less the same amount of time as us. they had a child, Luca, a year bigger than me. he spent that summer reading me Geronimo Stilton's "Viaggio nel Regno della Fantasia", I think he was my first love. the kid who showed me that even kids can read. I started reading like crazy right after that summer, since I entered elementary school. After years Luca and I met again with our families, it was a nice reunion which I remember very few about, but they were so kind and gifted me a small Geronimo Stilton's book. to remember the good times.

I was obsessed with her growing up. Kim was such a badass and I loved the show. when I started elementary school I had my backpack, pencil case and diary all branded Kim Possible.

The 89th Academy Awards ceremony (AMPAs) Twenty One Pilots' (my favorite band) Josh Dun, Sum 41‘s Frank Zummo and Adrian Young (No Doubt, DREAMCAR) performed together on the 2017 APMAs stage. They covered the likes of Queen‘s “We Will Rock You,” Beastie Boys‘ “So What’cha Want,” Smash Mouth‘s “All Star” (where Dun actually played the trumpet), No Doubt’s “Hella Good,” Sum 41’s “Fat Lip” and twenty one pilots’ “Ride.” I remember watching it with one of my "emo friends", we watched it live at night due to the timezones but it was so worth it! I discovered a lot of alternative bands that I still listen to even today! and it also helped me so much with my English skills.

today I made my first real adult decision.. for some reason. I've been independent for a long time now, and I must say I'm pretty pragmatic and I know how to make decisions in an effective way. but for some reason, today, deciding it was best for me to stay at home instead of going out with the boy scouts, it felt really important. I have a great relationship with my mother and family, and usually I look for advice from my loving ones. nobody said anything about me going out this weekend and probably coming back worse than before. I've been really constipated and I felt like staying at home. when I told everyone my decision, all of them were happy even if they didn't say anything because they respect my choices. and I was too, knowing I'm a mature human and that I've a supportive community.

nothing has changed.

nine years ago today I translated Josh Dun's page from English to Italian. it was the first ever Italian translation and I'm so proud of it. I hope Italian fans and members of the clique were able to access information more easily in their native language thanks to me!

November 3rd I did a short of my Italian adaptation of Heather by Conan Gray and it reached 100 likes! this is one of my core memories. I was in Spain with my family and a distant uncle hosted is for a week, I had 2 cousins my age and we talked about music, movies, comics and just everything in English. here my English really skyrocketed. not only that but my Spanish too. I'll always remember while watching this view one of my cousin said it was beautiful in Spanish and I just replied "yeah" and they were stunned because I was able to understand it. I was also so happy to finally see some people my age in the alternative community. talking about twenty one pilots, panic! at the disco, horror movies and strange stuff was something amazing. I finally knew I wasn't the only one. the vacation itself was amazing, we saw different part of Spain, during a beautiful, sunny summer. thanks to our relatives, we traveled like locals and had a true blast.

I realized my grandma(s) thought me several useful, almost magical tips. that's why I want to make a "series" about them! I love repov for being some sort of textual YouTube and that's why I think I'll sort the post into collections. first of all, my "character development" collection, because those advices really shaped who I am today; secondly my "magic" collection, since, as I said, those folklore tips lies a fairly amount of good witchcraft. I'll decide later if this is a collection worth of posts. even if I don't have a real audience around here, and that's not even my final purpose, there's something in the way I do things that wants everything organized for.. posterity, I'd say. (let's blame my Leo rising for this and move on) hope you'll enjoy them! a thing that's slightly boring me is that I don't know how to properly date them.. some tips are from decades ago, how am I supposed to know?! maybe I'll just leave the date as I share it.. idk yet [Jan 24, 2026 update: I found out that the best way to sort this series is by giving it hashtags! i remember seeing Best Ink (in Italian Ink Master) and completely falling in love with her. she was talented, spooky, strange and unusual and I wanted to be like her when I grew up. I love her art and she was a big boost of confidence for me, making me realize that I wasn't the only one strange, pushing me to draw and cultivate my "particular" interests like witchcraft and occultism. I was so in love with the tattoo piece she did when winning the show. I'm still in love with her, it was probably a early gay panic of some sort. her work and her style are amazing, from posts and people talking about her I think she's a kind soul, I'll foverer support her (check her out!)

you know when sometimes a song talks themes and you just fall in love with it? like, it's just *so* on point you can't even describe it and you become completely obsessed with it? but you know when sometimes a song talks something completely random and so far away from your behaviors and life experience you just fall in love with it? I remember when this song came out. it was 2016. I was changing highschool and a classmate asked me: "you don't smoke, you never even fucked, why do you like this song so much?" and I was a bit stunned. it was true, I was a good kid back then but that song really appealed to me. fast forward, it's 2024, EIGHT (8) years later. I heard the song while coming back from my part-time job at McDonald's, it was late at night, and I was listening to my life long collection of liked song. this song came up. I started singing it by heart. and then, eight years later, the lyrics were *so* on point. I was struggling with a strange fwb relationship with my ex boyfriend; I was confused, sad, in a very dark place, and that song came to me like a gift from the heavens. do you think it's some sort of destiny? like, your soul *knows* and you end up liking something just for.. foreshadowing (?) two years later, this song came to my mind again, this time just because of the general idea of (translating literally) "enjoying the moment". gosh, it sure has been a ride! but for a reason or another, I'm happy I ended up here, I'm happy my choices made me who I am today, I'm happy this song took me by the hand and was with me for, now, 10 years. it really makes me feel the brick wall of people and memories I have in myself that shaped who I am today. it's something just so.. fulfilling.

it's been more than 68 days that I've been off of Instagram. I actually used the repov creation date to calculate this period span bc I got this app soon after my decision to quit insta. so yeah, more than 2 months. my life skyrocketed in terms of motivation, focus and productiveness. I'm not kidding. the way I use my phone now is with a purpose. I haven't stopped using my phone completely, of course. I still use it for water tracking, diary entry, Tumblr, YouTube, Pinterest, reading, astrology, keeping up with my friends, and other miscellaneous things, also the use of repov, obviously. there's something wrong in Instagram, in the way it keeps you hooked, that isn't that present on any other app. when you stop depending on what other people are pretending to be doing, and misinformation and ai reign sovrain; your life truly changes. get rid of it now. message your friends, don't stalk them, send them a picture of what you ate, don't wait for them to like your story. be free! join Tumblr!!
