Radio Garden is my favorite way to listen to radio stations from around the world for free! it's a non-profit Dutch radio and digital research project developed from 2013 to 2016 by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision. they reported a collection of over 40,000 stations in 2024. Radio Garden is a 3D globe with thousands of green dots, each green dot is a radio station broadcasting live. by spinning the globe and zooming into a country or city, you can choose which station to tune into.

i wanted to share my favorite youtube channel; kurzgesagt - in a nutshell. i've subscribed to them for a while! the quality and accessibility of their videos is what gets me. they can take complex topics and make it so that anybody can understand it, but they don’t dumb it down in a way where it feels condescending. the amount of time and effort put into their videos also clearly shows, which makes me even more certain that they care about their audience and the quality of content.

plex media server allows me to organize, manage, and stream my personal media collection, like movies, TV shows, music, and documentaries! i run my plex media server with a docker container, which makes installation and management easier.

back on my letterboxd grind,, i was finally able to get back into my account after almost a year and a half, woohoo !

this website helped me understand the ingredients used in my skin care products. it's been great for identifying irritants. i feel more confident about what i am putting on my skin. since our skin is our biggest organ, i like knowing the products i use are safe!

living for obsidian notes recently! it's such a cool way to record and visualize my notes,, my favorite thing about obsidian is all the community-made themes and plug-ins. it makes everything customizable :3 using obsidian definitely comes with a learning curve if you are not familiar with the Markdown language but there are so many useful tutorials online

last night, i started setting up a dashboard app for my homelab. i did a bit of research on what my options were and i liked Dashy the most: easy install and configuration, simple ui, and lots of customization options! i was so excited to launch it for the first time but it didn't work...until i realized user error... i put the config file in the wrong sub-folder XD once i relocated the file, dashy came up and i started adding my first section. can't wait to customize it more today! the photo i included is a demo of what Dashy could look like

i started using characterhub about a month ago. i mainly use it for my dungeons and dragons character, but recebtly, i started adding some of my other OC's. it's not as bad as people made it seem....so i decided to make a pros and cons list for the site: PROS • simple character profile making, with lots of customization options WITHOUT NEEDING TO USE CSS • has many social spaces you can join and/or create • lots of events to participate in • encourages engaging with the community and complementing other peoples characters, enhacing reactions (favorites) CONS • paid feature limitations (custom username color, a few character sections, achievements, art storage) • limited uploaded art storage for some reason • UI feels cluttered and busy • laggy, ESPECIALLY on mobile

i like to have music playing during the day and recently this is the channel i will put on. there's a video for every mood and the cover art is adorable :3

for all my peeps who still use Spotify (specifically the desktop app), there is a free software you can use to customize how your Spotify looks,, i have mine set to look like Windows Media Player 11 with the WMPotify theme but there are so many other neat themes available through the spicetify marketplace!

by far my favorite sims game! currently playing on Dolphin emulator on my PC :] exploring locales for evidence, interrogating characters for clues and piecing it all together to solve crimes is fun. the puzzles can be a bit difficult but rewarding when solved. one of my favorite parts of this games is the customization; there are lots of outfits to find and decorate your agent. you also get to decorate your agent's HQ by painting and adding furniture! my biggest disappointment is the ending and lack of a sequel; the finale was anticlimactic, and no sequel made the disappointment worse. overall, this game is in my top 5 comfort games and i will always love it ♡ #comfortgame

wikipedia gacha is an online gacha game where players collect trading cards adapted from articles on the English Wikipedia, and use them in battle. it's pretty fun collecting different cards; though i hope we get the option for other languages in the future

another obsidian post :: my vault is starting to look filled out! it took a while to decide how i wanted to build it but it's done. lots of hours spent searching through github and gumroad for free templates and inspiration. i attached a gumroad link with some free templates for anyone who is interested. the theme i am using is called Minimal by kepano. it's clean and easy to look at on PC and mobile. for my plugins, i have 10 installed: Style Settings, Omnisearch, Importer, Better Word Count, Annotator, Various Complements, Image Converter, Text Extractor, Smart Typography, and Better Command Palette. it feels so rewarding every time a new connection is made. i truly love how my vault is coming together
