This book has surprised me in more ways than one. I reall thought Claire's life was better than Lydia's but I guess that's the irony. Come to think of it, Lydia has overcome her trials by herself and she could have left her sister Claire to deal with her own troubles but she chose to be there for her. As to the murder mystery plot, I somehow predicted that Paul wasn't as "good of a husband" as depicted. I knew from the moment those videos were found that he is the antogonist. BUT, I was surprised by that plot twist! Finally, Karin Slaughter has a talent that makes us readers feel like we are watching a movie because it gets exciting at every page turn.
