I am so impressed with this movie. A lot of people online that I've seen have criticised it for being too slow and that 2 hours was too long for a film like this but I think thats wht makes it spectacular. It's a tension horror film that you dont see anymore in the current age and, atleast in my opinion, a lot of people have lost the meaning of what horror truly is. This film (and the game it was based off of) plays with your fear of the unknown and I think it was done beautifully. I like the fact that this film doesn't spoon feed you with answers because there is none, no body knows. Why did the stars dissappear? Why is there an ocean of human blood on a moon? What is down there? I also loved the slow decent into madness that the protagonist goes through as not even the viewer knows what's real and what's not. Is "The Voice" real? Or just a hallucination. A few critics: One thing I didn't quite understand was the note he found at the beginning third of the film. Was that also madness? Especially due to what he saw right before that. Or was it planted there before he was sealed in the Iron Lung. Mark's acting wasn't *absolutely perfect* but this is his first movie and was still good nonetheless. We all have to start from somewhere. I did end up forgetting a part way through the move that it was Mark acting and not the character actually being real which I think is a good sign. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this movie is in my top 3 of all time. I was super scared as I dont like horrors but genuinely loved this movie, to the point where i'd go and see it again (which I dont often do.) 100/10
