Koba’s hatred is understandable, but he lets it consume him, turning pain into revenge and making things worse for both apes and humans. Caesar, on the other hand, tries to lead with wisdom and peace. The moment when Caesar tells Koba, “You are still in a cage,” really hit hard. Koba may be free physically, but his mind is still trapped in the past. Caesar moves forward, but Koba stays stuck in his anger, leading to his downfall. It made me think about how the past shapes us and how, as thinking beings, we sometimes create our own problems.
