I finally watched Nolan's Batman properly. It was still beautiful and overwhelming in his way of captivating the spectacular images. Batman's heroism in Nolan's trilogy is not according to a grand sense of justice, but something more personal. Driven by his own trauma and his desire to protect Gotham, he often acts outside of traditional moral frameworks. In a sense, he is a hero to those who need him, but not in the classical sense. He becomes a symbol for others at the expense of many things, including his own identity and personal life. Nolan's Batman makes us really think about what it means to be a hero.
