What's most noteworthy is that they manage to put together a convincing film using 'non-professional' actors, mainly due to the performances. In Sing Sing prison, a group of inmates start a theater workshop trying to find a reality different from the one they are living, and incidentally, to entertain everyone who is locked up there. Although it's a simple film, what it portrays is emotional and very interesting. It's definitely a good showcase of the prisoners' acting abilities, and of course, Coleman Domingo stands out, but what's impressive is that it's not by much.
