The main character in this film is a woman around the same age as my mother. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an escapist film about someone this age before, or at least not one that I can remember. It felt new to me. I believe women often sacrifice their own lives after marriage for the sake of their families, which may be why I don’t have a very positive opinion of marriage. However, this movie showed me a different perspective. It also reminded me that everyone can be important to someone else. Thanks to this film, my views on marriage have shifted a little. I still hope for a world where women can live freely, without depending on men.
