It was a work that sadly and beautifully expressed the balance between the beautiful and warm scenery and the man-made destruction of war. This is what it means to go beyond the dead, and I was overwhelmed by his willingness to bear the death of his friend and fulfill his promise even at the cost of his own life. I find it somewhat ironic that this is war, and that behind the worst acts of destruction caused by human beings, there is a beautiful human story.
