writing on my journal regularly makes me feel better. it helps me cope with things that i've been carrying for a while or for the longest time and it's also helping me to understand myself more. sometimes when i'm upset, instead of crashing out (i try my best not to), i would think like this: oh i feel bad and upset today, but the good thing is i can write about it later or even right now! it's just a good thing to look forward to, during good or bad days :)
