i absolutely loved Normal People. even though I’d already watched the show, I couldn’t put the book down i finished it in just a couple of days. i was drawn to the way it captured growing up, drifting apart, and still somehow never letting go of each other. both characters felt emotionally heavy and complex, and i loved how Sally Rooney wrote their tension how they navigate life together and separately. her writing is so raw and real the ending hit hard for me. a part of me wanted them to stay together, but another part knew it wouldn’t have felt right. it was heartbreakingly real the kind of ending that stays with you long after you’re done reading.
