But I was expecting more complexity from a narrative that promises to unite primordial elements of Eastern culture with the imagination surrounding the belief in extraterrestrial life. The characters and this "family found" vibe seem to be ideas, not original, but they articulate well within the script. I think the main ideas of the paranormal apparitions and the conflicts they generate are very captivating for the viewer, but the fear of developing certain dynamics too quickly gives the impression that the work becomes somewhat less invested in development. Now, the animation quality, and that opening sequence, its insane.
