Day 1 of rewatching all of stranger things previous seasons to prepare for season 5 :) unfortunately i have to say i was bored a bit (since i knew the plot and this season relies heavily on mystery) but it was really interesting to see how the characters got introduced to each other and their early dynamics. anyway here’s some of my silly notes while watching: • it’s crazy to go back and watch the show with the kids all grown up now, they were just babies here :( and all of them were so talented, seriously everyone was giving it their all! • i genuinely forgot how expressive and fun Lucas was! it just shows how poorly the writers handled his character he kinda becomes an extension of Max’s character rather than his own person :( • Dustin is so ADORABLE!! • Mike here is a real main character idk what happened in later seasons but it felt like he was more of an extra (or at least that’s what i remember) • El’s backstory makes me so sad man. i feel people overlook how much abuse she went through it breaks my heart. i hope she at least gets a happy ending • i could never blame Jonathan for thinking Joyce was going crazy if i was in his place i’ll do the same • Joyce & Hopper are way too reckless, literally zero planning they just wing it • no matter how sweet Jonathan is i can’t get over the fact he took those pics of Nancy • it’s fascinating how little screen time Steve got in this season considering he’s one of the most loved characters rn • Steve’s old friends are so insufferable • i completely forgot that El’s mother is still alive lmao • there’s a special place reserved in hell for “ papa” • this season’s cinematography and acting is way darker than later seasons, it feels almost separate from the rest of the show my favorite characters this season: El Lucas / Dustin Joyec Hopper
