one of the first animes that i watched during 8th grade. the plot is similar to neon genesis evangelion where they train these characters to operate and pilot these robots called the "franxx" to defend humanity. the characters are also sheltered and the higher ups prevented them from "knowing too much". they eventually explored on their own (aka sex 😭) and didn't know that they could actually reproduce. the wedding scene became a meme during 2018, and i always felt bad about it. other than that, it just surrounds around hiro and zero two. she was a staple character during pandemic as people made edits of her so frequently. i even remember that one edit from the trash gang with one of the popular songs by $B. https://youtu.be/lQqG6JfSNuY?si=RSAJGsqs3gBCoPZm i rated it lower because i don't like the innuendos.
