always loved Coraline growing up and I finally got a chance to read the book. I can understand how can someone read this and immediately wants to make a whole animated film about it. the descriptions of the world make such a vivid image, and the illustrations added a beautifully haunting touch that I loved. one of my favorite moments in the book has to be Coraline telling the story of her dad saving her from wasps. it shows beautifully where she got her immense courage from.
