The children are not alright. The children will be alright. Both statements can be true, but for the latter to exist we must do right by our most vulnerable group. We give them the weight of the world in their most impressionable time and then deem them as either good boys and girls or little shits. We cannot be shocked of their actions when we leave them to the wayside.
