I dont know what happened but the movie had a good start, the fist half while not the best was good but the later half just didn't do it for me. The writers really wanted to make Ben the ultimate good guy to root for, which dont get me wrong he is rootable but they just added TOO MUCH stuff with the sick baby, fired at every job for caring too much that Ben the character became a caricature;it became ridiculous. I know the writers really wanted that home alone-esque scene but the ways it got there were frustratingly annoying. Having the wife of a good cop turn into a senseless, hating viewer and becoming something I am sure her husband would be against is not good character writing. Also micheal cera's character ( a person who has been plotting to take down the network meticulously) calling the police on purpose just to, I assume, get back at the dirty cops who turned into goons was just plot contrivance which leads to his death because he was acting on emotions. I get the message the movie is trying to deliver, I really do but WRONG messenger! and shoddy execution!
