The constant shove down ur throat racism themes were exhausting. It felt more like Lovecraft Country than IT Pennywise Stranger Things ragtag kiddies assemble horror. 😞 If ur watching for creepy clown carnage, u’ll be disappointed, Pennywise’s total screen time is like less than 30mins throughout the first 7 episodes. He only goes fully bonkers in the finale showdown, which was the best episode, and the saving grace for the show imo~ (I didn’t mind the CGI effects, they were decent enough) If u enjoy social commentary atmospheric horror, this will scratch that itch, kinda~ (ie: Sinners, it even has the same music party turned burning barn pewpew bloodbath scene lolll) 😱 but if u wanted the movie versions of IT, prepare to get bait and switched, except the last episode 🫤, hopefully this’ll help manage the expectations going into the show. *The crossover with ‘The Shining’ was purdy kewl tho. 👌"how bad can a hotel be?" hehe
