I was drawn to this movie the moment I heard it was told from a dog’s point of view. I’m not usually into horror, but this one felt different. more emotional than frightening. The story follows Indy, an adorable herding dog, and his weak owner who has just recovered from illness and moves into a possibly cursed house. Most of the horror comes from Indy’s senses… the sounds, the tension, the way he stares at something unseen. His eyes alone carry so much emotion. I’m not sure if it’s the editing or direction, but the perspective is amazing. The film feels more sad than scary, showing the deep bond between them and how helpless both are in their own ways. It’s unclear whether the haunting is real or something born from sickness, but that mystery, along with Indy’s loyal presence, makes the film deeply unforgettable.
