This audiobook felt like being trapped in a haunted house with a narrator who drank five iced coffees and decided to trauma-dump, flirt, and monologue at the same time. And somehow… it worked. It was a very FUN read. Like, don’t expect life-changing wisdom or emotional salvation. This book will not save you from your problems, fix your life, or align your chakras. What it will do is distract you, entertain you, and possibly get you horny enough to forget your responsibilities for a while. And honestly, sometimes that’s the real healing. It was funny, unhinged, weirdly spicy, and occasionally made zero sense. Some parts were cringe, some were confusing, and some had me staring at the wall like “what did I just hear?” But that tracks because the female lead is literally a ghost. Of course the vibes are all over the place. She is dead. Structure is not her priority. The story jumps, spirals, overshares, and breaks rules like it’s allergic to coherence, yet it still comes together in a way that feels intentional. It’s chaotic but self-aware. Messy but charming. Like a ghost who refuses to move on because she still has opinions and unfinished business. The audiobook format made it even better. The delivery leaned into the absurdity, the humor landed harder, and the unhinged moments felt delightfully unfiltered. This is not a “take notes and analyze” book. This is a “turn off your brain and let the ghost talk” experience. Is it perfect? No. Is it weird? Absolutely. Does it make sense all the time? Not really. Did I enjoy it anyway? Shockingly, yes. If you want something unconventional, funny, slightly feral, and unapologetically chaotic, this one’s for you. Just go in knowing the narrator is dead, dramatic, and well-read. Adjust expectations accordingly.
