Okay guys, listen to me. I’ve been thinking. Let’s take two timelines: the present and the future. There are two friends, Cherub and Sammy. In the future, Cherub accidentally murders Sammy. Time travel exists in the future, so Cherub goes back to the past (which is the present) and kills Sammy there. Because Sammy now dies in the present, he never exists in the future, so the future murder never happens. But then how will the police catch the criminal in the present, when present day Cherub has proof she wasn’t with Sammy and time travel doesn’t exist at that time? And in the future, the police won’t catch anyone either, because no murder ever happened there. So technically, a murder has happened, but there’s no timeline where it can be proven. In the present, the police can’t arrest Cherub because all the evidence clears her, and time travel isn’t even a concept yet. In the future, there’s nothing to investigate because Sammy never existed there at all. It’s like the crime erased its own cause, leaving no criminal behind, even though the act itself still happened. And If the future murder never happens, Cherub has no reason to time travel, which means she wouldn’t kill Sammy in the present which means he should exist… which restarts the loop. Ahhh!! I'm sorry guys I know it's long 😭😭😭but my head has been eating me with this and it finally stopped working 🥲🙂 I don't even know why did I think of THAT!!!
