The word “love” comes from the hypothetical term “leubh”, a root in Proto-Indo-European. Meaning to care or desire. As in spanish, “amor” comes from the latin words amor, amōris, meaning to care, desire. Love is an emotion holding different meanings, from deep affection, cherishment, passion, commitment towards another person or things. Kurt Vonnegut says, love is “A purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved.” In The Sirens of Titan. While, Iris Murdoch expressed “Love is the extremely difficult realization that something other than oneself is real.” In Existentialists and Mystics. Medicine says love is a complex, temporary state of brain activation driven by a "cocktail" of neurotransmitters and hormones that alter behavior. But what can we say is actual love? 14th of February always makes me think about how love is describe inside the box of romantic affection. But I think, there's more than that. We can say I choose to believe in love in a soul moving way. I guess every single person has a different way to describe what they think is to love someone or something. Some think love only exist in the manifestation of a partner, others contemplate that love is not real at all. It’s clear, experiences have an impact in how emotions are viewed. For me, love is more than its definition can embody. I feel it just can’t be determinate with words. Love can be seen by those whom are open to find it, in the excitement of listening to that song you love all the time, in the way a book takes your attention from the world and stir deep emotion in your chest, in the little tv shows you’re able to connect in ways that bring you happiness and sometimes leave behind a sting of sorrow, in poems full of strong opinions and devotion, in songs that reaches your mind making home for a long time. It’s in all places at once and none at the same time. It’s a feeling that roots in the deepness of your soul and grows in the fast rhythm of the passing days. But you must believe in it first, and welcome it with all its forms of manifesting. Through a kind act from a friend, or the small talk some else had the pleasure to have with you, from the acknowledge of your achievements, but specially, the biggest form of love is when you are seen, appreciated and respected. I believe, the last one has to come from yourself first. Accepting and hyping your own existence is the most beautiful act of love it can be. I think love nurture your whole being when you are carrying it with you day by day. So I’ve reached the conclusion that real love is to feel deeply about things, giving meaning to your likes, interests, passions and craft is where loves come to exist. Some used to think love was a God. I believe is a force, strong and firce but gentle and full of warmth, a force that is just there untill you reach deep enough to take care of it and make it your own.
