i was feeling the mood for korean food and didn’t want to have kbbq, but a more traditional restaurant so we went to tofu village. we got a combo of the short rib/galbi and the kimchi tofu soup. although i originally planned on getting the bulgogi, i’m glad we got the galbi because the meat was tender and deliciously marinated in a sweet tasting sauce that i kept wanting more of. despite it being readily available and accessible in vietnam, i hadn’t had korean food in over 3 months so coming back and having tofu soup was worth the struggle of it all. we got it either mild or medium because we both agreed that we prefer the taste of something over it being too spicy to handle and enjoy the flavor. willingly burned my mouth and also gave the egg over to linds bc i love her.
