ok ok, so i’ve been meaning to dye my hair BRIGHT pink this year after dying it red last year (see pic above) BUT my hair is dirty-blondish on the top and super light at the bottom so im trying to find a dye that sticks without having to bleach it. the dye i used last year was splat (i know, boo me in the comments) but it worked SO WELL? besides dying everything alongside my hair, splat stayed in my hair for a good 6-8 months even when i took scalding hot showers. i know it’s bad, but im so tempted to go with them again but idk im trying to see if theres other brands that arent so damaging but still show up and stay w/o having to redye every couple weeks. my hair is nottt virgin hair by any means, ive dyed it professionally and DIY-ed it myself but still, i want to maintain my hair for as long as possible. currently this is my list: — splat: pros: last super long, no bleaching or touch ups needed, SHOWS UP IN MY HAIR!! can easily get at walmart. cons: can damage hair long term, gets EVERYWHERE and dyes everything: clothes included. — arctic fox: pros: cruelty free, doesn’t damage hair, smells really good? also found at walmart cons: 1 bottle isn’t enough for my hair, will not show up, washes out very quickly, color fades weird?? — manic panic pros: very well known, doesn’t damage hair cons: won’t work on darker shades, fades quickly — pravana vivids: pros: professionally used brand, lots of color selection, sticks to hair?? (confusing results on this) cons: some colors don’t turn out well, doesn’t stay in hair??? ⬇️what my hair looks like now :)
