1st half is excellent. loved the concept. blew my mind when i first watched it as a kid. tho present me thinks, there were way too many coincidences playing in favors of mc, which kinda weakened the plot. but the 2nd half is absolutely disappointing. it was already a bad move to kill L. and then we get another cheap copy of him that no one asked for. if they couldn't design a new original character, what was the point of killing him???
