i found this app on instagram, it’s a pomodoro timer-music app that can be downloaded on both computer and phone. it’s okay if you have the free version, but suffers from the “stuff advertised is locked behind a paywall” so that really stinks. pros! > has multiple options for music, and background noise. you can have rain sounds, fire sounds and others and dictate how loud each one is. as well as different backgrounds. > has a pomodoro timer, calendar which can be linked to google or outlook calendars, and to do list for time blocking. > very simple setup, easy to navigate. > widgets (limited if you have free version) cons! > lots of things locked behind paywalls, certain backgrounds and abilities which are advertised are locked behind a paywall: if you’ve linked your google calendar, it will only show your primary calendar and you’ll have to pay to see others. which, for me, doesn’t work considering i have multiple calendars for different courses. > another paywall feature, you cannot change the type of task if you want to give it a tag or organize it unless you pay. all tasks are listed as ‘unassigned’ as a default. > limited to 3 tasks and projects for free vers. overall, good idea for an app and it does work for me in the short term as i’m less likely to get sidetracked like i am on youtube, but also, half of the things the app offers can be found on youtube… sooo…. not missing out on much.
