just read it and goddamnnn that was a rollercoaster! the trauma depiction and everything was so on point RAGGGHHHH !!!! i wished bel and rita had more scenes together tho but i understand that rn rita is too much of a wreck about her mother’s revenge to even LIVE properly so separating from that would be better for her honestly;; Ian though, 10/10 no notes! One of my favourite MLs in a WHILE. He’s so caring, sweet and understanding, with just the right amount of stern and powerful in the beginning to make it interesting.
The class divide between nobles and commoners is a huge issue in this story and it feels visceral at times, the sheer horror of what your life could turn out just because you don’t have the resources or status to live life as you want. Definitely cried at times when Bel was just a mother yearning for her kid. <333
