i have been trying to improve my lifestyle by taking daily walks. today i wanted to start including jogging. i tried and as a beginner my runs were short. i am hoping to do this everyday and see if there are improvements after two months. i want to take advantage of this pathway behind our house. taking walks and jogs at sunset feels cool. also, walking to "girl, so confusing" by charli and lorde feels great.

sunnier than yesterday that i regretted not bringing water. i have been starting to jog too. some improvement: i can run longer than my attempts yesterday.

sometimes the sun is still so up at 5:30 and this is one of those days. i don't mind but it means i can only stop for a while since it's hot everywhere. there's barely a shade here. anyway i sat on the ground near a shade few times to rest because no one was around which i found cool.

the weather was so good. my new favorite moment is listening to mountain goats sing "i'm doing this for the ones they left to twist in the wind" while i feel the air blow around me.

i went out a little late than usual because i felt like i might not make it today but sometimes you just need to get up on your most normal self to make it through. i went out with the clothes i went to bed with, ate a bit, drank water, slapped my shoes on and went off listening to music.

took a rest for 2 days. made a mistake of not eating before going out so i was almost near 4K steps but had to go home. this pathway is used by farmers, and in few days of walking here i learned that a neighbor fishes every afternoon. additionally sometimes i am not the only one walking/jogging. or random people will go for a stroll so sometimes there's extra need to be conscious of the path if someone is coming, i have to slow down or what. so today i learned i can do some jogging-in-place for convenience. also, sunset and welcome to my island by caroline polachek is such a wind-in-my-hair songs.
