finally reading the series that influenced the short animation i did for my conclusion work and is beautiful. I'm really happy to know that the animated series is a good adaptation (for what I saw in the first volume) both are very emotional and talk about spirituality in a very heartwarming and creepy way. The slow pace is such a relief combined with the ink lineart and the watercolored pages add to the comforting feeling this narrative has to offer.

I should've probably watched the ova 0 first, but overall the characters are really captivating (I'm not ready to see them die a horrible death, mechamaru's arc got me very emotional) and I'm excited to watch the movie.
