How much violence it takes to stop us from being humans? How much suffer and humiliation kills one’s humanity? There isn’t a right way to act against a man, against a regime, that took your humanity, your dignity, that broke you. I love how all the characters from this movie have so many contrary feelings related to revenge. You could bring a man’s child into this world, the man that took everything from you, and that same man would continue to not have respect or mercy for your life. This movie is a masterpiece against authoritarians and violent regimes, truly left me speechless, I could not look away. This is how you construct rythm in a narrative, it kept me tense from the beginning to the end, especially the end. Really really good.
