Who could have tough I would get so emotional over an earring (or a few of them)? Dylan spent years carrying with him Jun's strength. That one moment of vulnerability they shared transformed into a tradition that kept them together without needing any words, because they were so in tune here that they knew. And maybe, that's why I loved this one so much. Jun knew almost all the important things to know about Dylan, he didn’t need him to speak about it. And Dylan was always so aware of Jun's everything that made them perfect. I loved Dylan being so unapologetically himself, embracing his soul, his ideas and his music as self expression more than anything. And I got moved by Jun for respecting every boundary his brightest sun could have. Even when they didn't knew they were more than this peculiar friends, they got the love they projected on other people (aka, Thame and Po) from the one who was always there in the safety of their gifts.
The one who’s in love always wins

It doesn’t matter if you get your heart broken, you’re living. When you’re feeling, you’re living.
Dylan
"And does Dylan remind you of me, or did I remind you of Dylan?” The question takes a few seconds to go to Jun’s brain, because he immediately thinks that’s nonsense, Dylan and Po are nothing alike.
Po and Jun
Oh, it was Po that had reminded him of Dylan, not Dylan of Po, because Dylan existed outside comparisons, further than instant connections and potentials. Dylan existed in constantly growing potential while Po had moved from potential of friendship to realised friendship. Dylan had started from potential of anything to potential of everything, and Jun hadn’t even realised when that shift occurred.
Jun
“It’s actually a reminder. This industry is so quick to strip you away from anything that can’t be sold that I needed to remind myself I existed outside of their perception.” “And an earring reminds you of that?” “An earring on the right ear, yes.” He takes a few seconds before explaining himself, avoiding Po’s look. “It’s considered to be a sign among gay men, a queer symbol among many. They can take many things away from me but not this,” Dylan taps at his ear “It’s mine.” Po smiles and realises that he finds hard to imagine Dylan without his usual earring.
Po and Dylan
You couldn’t tell him that you lost them, Cause you’re scared and you’re not talking, So you think of what to say, Then save it for another day, Cause you just never had the heart, Now they just drift further apart, From you
