ㅤㅤ ┈ᯓ𖹭 i couldn't possibly say anything about this movie that hasn't already been said, i just loved it, corniness and all 🫶 and it only took seeing 1603848 gay edits of it to finally watch. i can't rate this on how good of a horror movie it is because to be transparent i've only ever seen like 3 including this one but in general it was a fun watch 🙏

ㅤㅤ٠࣪⭑ continuing my journey of experiencing resident evil in order i just got to my first movie after finishing re4 yayyy !! this was definitely of its time and extremely corny but i still enjoyed it. i mainly just wanted the story and lore and i got more than enough of it to satisfy hehe. ㅤㅤthis movie probably fits into the so bad it's entertaining category. my favorite part by far was when a girl was on her knees in sorrow telling her life story and the entire time leon is just standing there not saying a Single word 😭😭😭 and when they cut back to them again he still hadn't said anything it made me laugh so hard. i can't wait to watch the other movies and shows i know the characterization of everyone probably gets a bit better. ㅤㅤbtw the scene where claire winks at leon as the elevator is closing has been on loop in my head ever since.

❟ ㅤ٠࣪⭑ i am so upset that i am only discovering this now in 2026. what an odd, beautiful, and existential experience this was. zero dialogue but infinite meaning. one of my favorite things about ova's such as this are the ways that nonsensical whimsy are used to deliver melancholic messages. the backgrounds on this are stunning too, i included some of my favorites in the pictures. ㅤㅤㅤi discovered recently that one of the big reasons for weird ova's like this existing is that because they were created during the era of vhs a lot of them were made specifically /for/ vhs, meaning they pretty much had to be purchased sight unseen. no need to craft something clipable or something that can hit high tv viewership so typically the directors got 100% creative freedom. i am going to mourn this type of media for the rest of forever i want more original works that fully cater to the creator's vision and not ratings.

ㅤㅤ٠࣪⭑ this was the worst written movie i've seen this year by a landslide 💀 the film score was phenomenal though, i can't believe john williams came out of retirement for this slop film i really hope he does one more movie this can Not be the movie he goes out on man..
