this was a fun read. i liked it, but i can't say i loved it.
going into it, i expected something closer to "what would audrey hepburn actually do?" and instead got a lot of "well, we think she might have done this" and "based on vibes, cultural references, and collective imagination..." which, fair enough, but at some point i felt like i was reading fan theories with citations.
and i mean, i love audrey. she's genuinely one of my biggest inspirations, especially because of her humanitarian work, so i was always going to enjoy spending time in her orbit. i just wish the book had spent a little less time guessing and a little more time actually being about the woman in the title.
overall, an enjoyable read. just not quite as insightful or revelatory as i hoped.
ps: i used a translator for this review lol
