This took way too long to finish but it’s done and it was very cute and hilarious!! An enjoyable time for sure :3

Almost forgot to read it and then binge read it in under an hour lol ; now I regret not ever reading it sooner — it was beautiful; the flow and the power of prose to tell a complete and complex story within just 50 pages was incredible. PLEASE READ IT!!! Pick it up right now! You won’t regret it, I promise!!!!

This is such a good read !!!! AAAAA INSANE about LU FENG in such a way I don’t think you’d understand. Makes you want to think about what it means to be human. Is it all worth it ? Will we, despite our achievements, be remembered in the grand scheme of the universe ?

It was quite good ! I love poppy dog tops that are actually just insane inside and it pleases my heart when they cry to gain sympathy from their beloveds! The Main character’s backstory was also really good !!

My reaction throughout this novel was : what the fuck is happening? It tries to tackle a lot of things but accomplishes to properly talk about none of those things, making this entire affair a moralistic confusing ramble of thoughts rather than a book about death, drugs and suicidal tendencies of the youth. The writing was repetitive as well but the concept of the plot was good enough that I wanted to see it through. It could have been my favourite read with a better execution.

Read this in a DAY. We are SO back people. Anyways this was a fun read! I usually do not get hooked to fantasy - much less adult fantasy, but this one was a pleasant read! More so, I believe, due to the incorporation of middle eastern culture and west asian heritage in a seamless fasion within this fantastical world of demons and ghosts. The couple was also entertaining and Silas reminded me of Edward Cullen; do not ask me why for I know not myself. The only reason why this is not 5 stars is because I felt like a lot of crucial information was told to the readers rather than the author showing it to us. The reveals this felt flat but beautiful read nonetheless!!!
