day 1, 2026: i choose this song for today. it's the beginning of a new year, a new chapter, and im scared. real scared because the past few years haven't treated me well. this year, im trying to have faith, or atleast trying to make my brain understand faith, the heart is still yet to know what faith is. this song has magic in it, i swear. it calms me down, makes me happy, gives me goosebumps but also stirs up so much in me. 2026, please be kind.

day 2, 2026: it's 2:30am, and last year's memories have flood my mind once again. this time, it's my birthday. i turned 16 last year, and like most, i didn't have a sweet sixteen party or a surprise birthday party, instead it was one of the most saddening days i've had in 2025. my friends forgot it was my birthday, i was in a fight with someone I used to call a close friend; whom I begged to stay, crying as the clock hit midnight. but, it was sweet too. sweet because some very special people comforted me, gave me handmade gifts, and showed me that I was worthy of love. so yes, 16 was very bittersweet. day 3, 2026: it's 7:30pm, about half an hour ago I went to buy a notebook and some stickers, it was a 20 minute walk altogether, and throughout the whole walk i listened to this on repeat. the song felt right, comforting, and as i decorate my phone with the stickers while my alexa plays the same song (on repeat again), it's just as comforting as when I was younger, and my dad woke me up at 6am, told me to dress up and took me to the forest on his bike. one of my favourite memories to this date.

day 4, 2026: i listen to this song when I want to sleep. it makes me calm, makes me feel as if everything wrong will be alright. i've been burdened with some stress recently and listening to this as I sleep makes me feel okay, like I'll get through it.

I've always imagined myself dancing with my partner on this song, in our living room while the sun sets. it's just us, and everything for a moment is perfect. when will my fantasy come true? i have no idea, i only hope that it does come true and doesn't fade away with time.

day 12, 2026: taylor is a genius, she really is. the song, the lyrics, everything about this is so gut wrenching. lately I haven't been listening to her because as someone that believes in standing up for things, taylor hasn't spoken a single word about any of the genocides happening around the world and that is something that is so unexpected of taylor. anyways, even though I don't listen to her as much as i used to, this song is always in the back of mind, continuously rolling.
