comedy was lovely, romance was,,,,,, too fast paced lmao dude was smitten in like 2 eps but however Good the comedy is, I can never stomach it when things too heavy become fodder for comedy. a girl got pushed aside for successorship lessons the moment a boy was born into the family, haha so funny. bp high kar diya bhai. dropped like a hot potato.

The creators of Harry Potter called, they want their homework back 😭😭 vvvv fun anime, the Harry Potter parody sounded less like a parody more like exact copy tho rip. but it does have a separate plotline that has nothing to do with HP so yay for that.

the mystery was EVERYTHING. loved it sm. still taking 1.5 star off cuz the lack of logic towards the end was drying up my braincells. the MC also has no character development lol, she begins and ends the series with standing still in the face of danger and silently (not even out loud bro) crying for someone to come save her. worse, she even intentionally throws herself in the face of danger when she knows she can do nothing. also, too big of an age gap between FL (16) and ML (late 20s - early 30s) rip.

an action shounen with a single love interest and no harem?????? pls somebody find me more stuff like this 😭😭😭 I love OP leads so much but they always end up with a stupid harem I hate it :( best boi Shin only has eyes for his Sicily tho I love it haha. also allow the characters are so much fun???? amazing characterisation. this one also has its faults ofc, creepy ass jokes and scenes but sometimes you gotta just grit your teeth through things to enjoy just about anything in this world made by men for men :') also it's not finished and it's been 6 yrs since s1 ended so do with that piece of info what you will.

this was supposed to be a lighthearted romance fantasy. I just finished s1 and,,,,, lighthearted where??? fairy tale where?????? I'm about to kms??? where is my happy ending?? I've been had guys, the stress-buster turned out to be extremely stressful TT

GREAT plot, great characterisation, great cinematic visuals. but you know what's not so great? my mental health's capacity to deal with this rip. it was a very bright anime visually but an underlying darkness prevails: from an entire island dedicated solely to prostitution to whatever impure thoughts that prince might be carrying towards Fena on account of her mother. The heaviness permeates the bright visuals and creates terror about what truly lies underneath it all. I say "terror" and not "horror" because horror is palatable. horror is about the dark underbelly that has already been exposed. terror is the anticipation of what might lie underneath. terror is anxiety. and honestly? any more anxiety and I think I might literally explode like an overbloated pufferfish. had to dnf but I do wish to pick it back up again when I'm at a better place in life. I think I might be inclined to rate it even higher if i can watch it without collapsing on myself. I'll look forward to that day.

an extremely powerful introvert who got powerful cuz she'd rather work hard than get over her social anxiety? a girl after my own heart istg. this was so good and so fulfilling, I love my fave kids sm. very feel good anime, vibes are similar to Frieren. fantasy, academy, friendship tags. also Louis is so pretty (in image below). his wife is a baddie too, I lowkey want them to adopt me lol

I hated the concept initially, i despised it in fact. being forced into love by unknown bigshots sounds dystopian as hell. and as the ominous shot of Kate's next mission shows, some people should actually stay far far away from reproducing themselves. but now that I've finished this whole thing, i genuinely cannot help but love all the characters so so much. Anzu is SO cool, and I love my baby Tonta. I need to know who Kazuki's VA is, like cmon why does a high school kid have such a bone-penetrating voice aaaaaaaaaa. Riri has absolutely become my bestest babie rn I'd smooch them right back istg. I also like the inclusion of a genderless character like Riri. Kazuki's storyline was nerve-wracking tho. I was so scared by the whole notion, and I was only seeing it on-screen. I really had to sit back down and take deep calming breaths just to get back into a proper headspace after watching that part. Kazuki truly did deserve those hugs and so much more with everything that poor kid was going through.

apparently there's an entirely new season airing rn. here I am — someone who stopped watching before the Shibuya incident arc cuz I didn't wanna see you-know-who (censored for those lovely souls who haven't been bombarded by spoilers yet) die — looking on as one of my fave animes gets new content without being able to take part in it. should I just bite the bullet and go for it??? maybe I can change my fave character to sukuna instead, right? :') (I have 0 trust in Gege, I'm so sure he's gonna end up killing off literally everyone in this anime)

I'm still only a few eps in but I LOVEEEEE it. A prince follows around our MC like a lost puppy (or a circus audience more like lol, and I can't even blame him, he's so me) but wherever they go, the men just hang around while our MC demolishes everyone who pisses her off hahahahaahhahahahaha villainess anime + amazing comedy + mediaeval european setting = the recipe for my favourite kinda anime

oh. my. god. found this while searching for other anime made by the studio which did LOTM. and I was genuinely blown away. I'm so sad this doesn't exist in novel form cuz chinese paranormal/horror light novels are absolutely my fave genre. anyway, Wu Ming (the long white-haired dude on the cover) is SO hot and so is our MC, tho he's a lil weak in season 1 lol. still, plot is freaking amazing, and I can't wait to watch season 2. the animation is a lil wonky tho, but it makes sense, this seems to be one of the studio's earlier works and I love watching human imperfection on display haha. they used the 2d animation style that LOTM is known for and added the 3d animation style of the Scum Villain donghua for wife shots. the very obvious (and wonky haha) blendr creations genuinely warmed my heart in the currently soulless AI-infested world.
