Drink: Americano Cafe: Uncle Brew Prime Purpose: Taking a moment to arrange my thoughts and writing them down Review: Imagine mixing instant coffee with water and adding ice to it. Yes, it's icky. I hate the taste and the feeling of it. I really thought they were gonna pull an espresso for the drink since I see a coffee machine here, but I am very mistaken. It was just powder coffee with water and ice. I should have honestly opted for their sweeter, much complicated, drinks if they would butcher the easiest coffee to prepare in the menu. The red velvet cake they had was the one that salvaged my stay in this cafe. I will definitely not buy iced Americano here ever again.

Drink: Salted Caramel Frappe with Coffee and Iced White Chocolate Coffee (not in the pictures) Cafe: Flavors Cafe Purpose: Seeing my friends from college Review: I drank 2 cups of coffee in this cafe. The first one I drank was the Iced White Chocolate Coffee. It was REALLY sweet. I had a long time drinking it and I had to mix the coffee a lot so that the ice can melt and slowly dissolve in the drink. At least this time, the coffee was actually made from a coffee machine and not from instant coffee. Perhaps, I have a very high standard about coffee, but overall, the drink was alright. Moving to the second drink, my friend treated me to this frappe. I actually preferred this one over the first drink. I liked how slow it melted, so I can drink it in my very slow drinker pace. I enjoyed it as I caught up with my friend and reminisced about the moments we had together with our other friend (we are a trio). But back to the topic, the two drinks I had in the cafe were good enough, but not memorable. I do not think I would remember these drinks. However, I did enjoy them enough as I was drinking them in the moment.

Drink: Okinawa Latte Cafe: Abaca Baking Company Purpose: Catching up with a friend Review: It is a drink meant to be drank slow. When I had my first sip of the coffee, the brown sugar syrup and intense espresso were overwhealming; and I am saying that as a HUGE coffee person. But do not simply conclude my review with just that observation. As although the drink was too much for the first sip, it tasted better as the time passes and the ice melts. Thus, the 4.3 star review. I do think that as I mixed the coffee with the ice and salty cream, the drink became much more enjoyable and it became the best companion for my conversations with my friend. I had my drink around 7 PM and finished it around 8:50 PM. It felt like a drink that forces you not to drink fast and keeps the conversation flowing.

Drink: White Chocolate Frappe Cafe: Dog Days Coffee Purpose: I needed coffee to survive my packing marathon Review: This... tasted better than Starbucks. Maybe it's because I can actually taste the white chocolate in the drink, or maybe it's the right amount of sweeetness that I needed to survive packing my life in two suitcases. But back to the topic, I can't really give details to what I drank simply because it was really straightforward. It was not as complicated and as layered as specialty coffees from places like Good Cup Coffee Co or Abaca. Therefore, all I can say about it is that it was a great drink and I liked it.

Drink: White Mocha (Cold) Cafe: Akibara Coffee & Tea Purpose: Wanted sweet coffee but did not have milk at home (pretty stupid reason, I know) Review: If you have read my previous entries, I am sure you have seen my obsession with white chocolate mochas. I really do enjoy trying out the same drink but in different fonts. I wanted some sort of comparison that can be my basis on seeing if the drink was actually great. This coffee... loved it. The drink had distinct layers when I received it. The bottom was the milk, then the espresso, and then sweet foam on top. I liked drinking it without a straw since I get to drink all layers without mixing it. Some drinks really do need to be drank without mixing, for sure.

Drink: Strawberry and Cream Frappucino Cafe: Starbucks Purpose: Final coffee with my brother and my dad before I leave Review: It tasted more like milk than it was strawberry, hahaha. I can't remember much as it was from last week but yeah... I gotta document it anyways.
