we're not really the type to eat in the middle of the night, but i guess being exhausted all day suddenly turned into hunger at 10PM ㅠ ㅠ so we went out for Tahu Tek¹ and bought some Milk Tea at Point Coffee xixixi --- ¹Tahu Tek is one of the most iconic, beloved street food dishes originating from Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. it is a hearty, comforting plate consisting of fried tofu, rice cakes (lontong), potatoes, bean sprouts, and often an egg, all drenched in a rich, dark, and deeply savory peanut petis sauce. ​the name "Tek" comes from the rhythmic 'tek tek tek' sound made by the street vendors. they hit their metal wok or frying spatula against the edge of the pan while cooking, or as they walk down the street to let hungry locals know they are open for business.

so... it was like... 10 PM? suddenly tisha got hit with the strongest craving for this goat & beef offal soup. idk whats that but because i'm apparently a very kind person, i ended up taking her there at like… 11 PM 😺👍. the moment we got there she immediately lit up. like actually glowing (weird :/). happily picking all the toppings while showing them to me one by one like it was a jewelry collection (idk why). 'look!! cow eye!! goat eye!! tongue!! nose!! ears!!" and i was just standing there like 😀👍. i'm sorry but that is NOT my thing AT ALLL NDJSJSJSJ so while she enjoyed her very intense bowl of organ meat soup, i sat beside her peacefully eating chicken porridge from the stall next door 🥲☝️. honestly one of the weirdest late night experiences of my life but seeing her that happy made it worth it so yeah win win ig?

i feel like if Deep Roast Oolong Milk Tea by Teazzi was a person… he'd be that calm, composed guy. deep voice, lowkey intimidating, but actually really grounding. the kind that doesn't talk much, but when he does... you listen. warm, steady, a little mysterious. and if Choco Mochi Bites by AEON were a person… he'd be the opposite. soft, sweet, a little playful. the type to smile easily, kinda clingy in a cute way, but still knows exactly how to get your attention. and for some reason… it feels like there's something going on between the three of us. Me, Teazzi, and Mochi. okay delusional, sorry. anyway, yeah. it's really good. you should try it, don't forget. p.s. i love Teazzi so much. i even have the loyalty card… and i'm already level 2 (each level is like 20 stamps)

I found this. i dont even know what this is tbh… but suddenly its everywhere in my city. had to try it because its crazy cheap. like... $0.30?? and yeah… not gonna lie, it's sweet sweet. like toothache speedrun level 😭

okay so i need to tell you about this place called 'Donat Bahagia' which literally translates to "Happy Donut" 🤓🥯 and honestly... true. i meanook at these... they're soft, fluffy, slightly chaotic with toppings. we got a whole box and each one has its own personality. like i’m not even exaggerating when i say these donuts actually make you happy. first bite and suddenly life isn't that hard anymore. 10/10 would emotionally depend on these donuts again.

soOooO... just walked out of watching Moana and suddenly the only thing on my mind was food. like not cute "let's grab a snack" hungry, but the kind that makes you irrational and slightly dramatic (fr :p). so yeah. me and my partner looked at each other and without even saying much, we just knew. survival mode. so we ordering Gocar to Tsuka Ramen, which btw was insanely packed. like... why is everyone also starving at the exact same time?? 😭 but okay. lowkey worth it. the prices suspiciously cheap, like Mie Gacoan. like you expect 'cheap = mid' but no??? the ramen actually slaps??? wow?!?? warm, comforting, hits you right in the soul after a long day kinda good. we barely talked while eating. just silent appreciation. occasional “this is so good wtf” in between bites. 10/10 experience.

okay this is the kind of day you wish you could replay without changing a single thing. we went to this cozy little Korean café. lowkey cozy, owned by a real Korean saem, which already made it feel special.
