I kind of get why a lot of people hate this book. This is not for everyone, as is the case for many books. This book is far from perfect. Sure, there are a lot of cliché moral lessons derived from elsewhere, so simplified that it may come across as toxic positivity.
Yet this is a book meant for those who need it. At some point, we have to romanticize our lives. It’s for the people who have grown numb, become cynical, forgotten how to dream, or been frozen by fear of the future. And one of them is me.
