i had low expectations for this movie since i read the book. but surpringly, the movie was better than the book imo. but why does every sydney sweeney movie (at least what i've watched) seems made for the male gaze? 🙄

this just shows how a traumatic experience can really affect your brain 😢

we watched this with high expectations because people were saying this is really good. we ended up being disappointed—at first we thought it was just slow burn but turns out the whole movie doesn't explain shit 😭 the opening was really promising and it instantly caught our attention but it really fell flat at the end. i read some explanation about the plot, but even with that it was still underwhelming.

laura is a great villain. she's just pure ragebait. REWATCH

i loved the Avatar: The Last Airbender series so much, but this movie just didn't live up to the series. rant: 1. the way they treat bending. each elemental bending has its own different quirks and styles on how to bend but here it's like all are interchangeable. 2. the original gang were sidelined. katara was reduced to just aang's wife, zuko is like non-existent, and toph is nerfed. 3. how is taga beating all of them at the middle of the movie? like aang is literally the avatar, katara with toph and zuko, who are really good benders, just got crushed by him like it's nothing. 4. in the chaotic battle towards the end, how are the OG benders getting whooped on their asses by NEWLY-MADE BENDERS? like hello?! 🙄 tldr; the movie was a disappointment
