And that’s tofu. Second day in a row I’m having it. Today, I just found some napa cabbage in the fridge so I’m just eating it with that. Like I’m just obsessed with the texture of it, and with a soy sauce/sesame oil marinade!! Ahh, it’s so satisfying!!!🥹I haven’t cooked tofu myself for maybe 8 years, and I have no idea why??? Cuz I’ve always liked it. Maybe it’s because I never used to have any East Asian pantry staples (except soy sauce) for making satisfying marinades? I wonder how long this food fixation will last?? Because the aftermath is the worst!!! You have consumed a certain food for specific meal(s) for weeks or maybe even months, and suddenly you got the ick. NOW, you have no idea what to eat so you just kind of end up skipping an entire meal for weeks bc you can’t think of ANYTHING that sounds good AND doesn’t require too much preparation and planning.

🔗THE RECIPE I USED IS IN THE LINK Can’t believe I’ve never made apple sauce before? Tasted a bit now and can’t wait to put it on my overnight oats tomorrow!! It’s one of the best ways to enjoy apples without getting bloated as quickly (esp if you have IBS), and it’s full of fiber and the blueberries provide so many good nutrients that can help fight inflammation in our bodies. The latter part is really helpful for me now considering my gastritis symptoms are most likely due to inflammation in the stomach lining. Not having an apple cutter that also pits the apples made this quite a tedious task tho, so get one of those if making this. Other than that it cooks itself. I also didn’t make any big amendments to this recipe. I just cooked it a bit longer, used honey instead of maple syrup (cuz that’s what we had) and cinnamon sticks instead of powder (idk why but in my mind it leaves a nicer taste) and smashed it with a fork while cooking to get a chunkier texture.

🔗THE RECIPE I USED IS IN THE LINK This ended up being a banger, both for my sensitive stomach (caused no pain afterwards), and for my tastebuds. Although, the seasoning was on the lighter side to what I prefer, and I didn’t have time to marinate the tofu thoroughly because I was starving—it still ended up being a 12/10 will make again (the second batch of tofu is actually already marinating in the fridge). Also just wanna add, I’m usually no proponent of lowcarb meals like this, but I think it was okay now that my stomach needed relatively gentle meals. Probably would cook some barley on the side or something next time cuz it’s not very filling. Had to eat 200 g (7 oz) tofu and 700 g (1.5 lbs) cabbage to feel full😭😭 Either way, I based it on the recipe linked in this post. I kept the cabbage mostly unseasoned like in the original recipe aka just salt and pepper, as to not further upset my stomach. Next time I’m making this I will probably season it similarly to some Korean banchan dishes. I also had to reverse engineer the white people adjusted marinade for the tofu by putting in four times the suggested ingredient amounts, and 8x the suggested chili amount (it still didn’t taste very spicy and my stomach didn’t get upset). I also replaced the liquid smoke (not a widely available ingredient in Norway) with half a tsp sesame oil for every two spoons of soy sauce.

My gut microbiome must be FUCKED UP, the way it feels like someone punched me in my left rib after consuming completely normal foods. I’m pretty sure I have gastritis 😊❤️ As someone who was practically born with IBS, my threshold for stomach pain and discomfort is HIGH, but this has been something else entirely. Now I’m stood here doing one of my least favorite activities, which is cooking. Trynna make some gut healthy-ish food. With as little fat and quick carbs as possible (while still being enjoyable). If anyone has any tips or recipes, they’re very welcome <3 I’m currently marinating some tofu. I have also chopped some cabbage that I’m going to sautee and cubed some beets which I’m going to put in a roast veggie dip. The veggie dip is my attempt at a satifying snack for today’s episode of Perfect Crown, which is the only thing that’s keeping me going right now🥹🥹

🍿EPISODE 19: THE MAN WHO CAME BACK FROM THE DEAD And I oop— Not me slandering the queen’s orabeoni who ended up sacrificing his life for her in my previous episode log😭😭 I take some of it back!!! He was actually the first one who realized that she/he was telling the truth about not being the real queen. That’s probably why he had that male rage in his eyes (gotta hand it to the actor, he did an exceptional job at that). He was a simp (not derogatory) to the very end, and I respect him for it!

🍿EPISODE 18: THE COUNTERATTACK OF MEMORIES Omg, I hate that I watched this show so quickly!! I’m soon finished, and it breaks my heart 🥺 With that being said, OH MY GOD!!! The queen’s cousin has to be the biggest prick of an antagonist??? He is so infuriating, I can’t get over it. They should have done a KDrama slowmo of the queen shooting him with an arrow where you see the arrow hit his leg several times. I would be sat here smiling!! This man had to be SHOT WITH AN ARROW to take no for an answer!!! Something tells me that was his ego’s last straw, and that he will finally turn on the queen now. I say finally bc I cannot take one more second of him "protecting her" selfishly while thinking he’s oooh so selfless. If he really loved her and wanted to protect her and risk it all, he would have done like Eui Bin. He would have recognized his mistakes and atoned for them. But alas, when you are indeed weak in character (like a LIL BITCH), the palace will swallow u whole. I’m laughing at myself rereading this because it truly sounds like these are real events 😭😭

TW: INSECTS I want to scream and cry (granted, I did scream), because I had just taken out my contacts and I have like -7.00 nearsightetness + astigmatism. In plain words, I don’t see shit!! I see wobbles of colors against colors. I was getting my bed ready for sleep, and I have a bedspread on. Upon pulling this bedspread off it reveals my white bed sheet and a small black-colored dot. I ofc assume this is a tiny ball of thread from my clothes, and so I pick up this ball WITH CHEST. YALL! IT WAS NOT THREAD! What made me realize? 🍿EPISODE 1: WHO SAYS I’M MARRYING INTO ROYALTY? Started this drama today, and it feels like I have been anticipating and waiting for this since I finished Lovely Runner back in summer in 2024. As soon as I heard the opening song during the intro, the drama had my undivided attention for the next 70 (?) minutes. The anticipation did not lead to disappointment, and I felt so relieved. The first episode highkey blew me away. Not necessarily because it’s the best TV-show ever made, but because it ended up being the right combo of right time and right TV show for me. It’s just the type of watch I needed now! There are many things that are extremely appealing with this show. The modern monarchy setting opens a lot of doors for them to play with visuals in terms of set and custom design. In addition, there is the combo Byeon Woo-Seok and IU. By no means, are these the best acting performances I have seen, but BWS def has effortless charisma, and while IU’s performance is slightly annoying sometimes, it also feels kinda intentional for the character. I think people close to the character who adore her also find her kinda annoying sometimes, if that makes sense? Either way, there was truly something that brought about that nostalgic TV-show excitement from my high school days🥹

Another OST song that makes me so happy because of how good it is?? Been a while since an OST song truly stood out to me, but this is the second one in a week!! Idk how else to describe this song, but delicious? It captures a very specific vibe perfectly—the single of a late 2000s Disney star who is coming of age and wants to be a bit rebellious by releasing a song that is kinda different from what made them famous by adding a bit of a rock sound to it. And it fits the modern monarchy theme of Perfect Crown SO well, considering monarchy was a well-utilized Disney trope. Ahhh, lovely nostalgia 🥹💗

Naah, this is the perfect OST song🥹 I feel like I’m a BIT late to the party (because this drama truly is one) with this being my first time watching Mr. Queen. Yet, this song sounded SO familiar?? Either way, it’s perfect and one of many things in this drama that is truly top tier (at least up until episode 9).

When I read/hear these type of lyrics I just think: u good bro?? lmfao It just feels like those who write lyrics like these should be in their room crying a lil and processing those emotions instead of trying to "show their ex" how good they got it without them.
