Script - 0 Fatality - 10/10 Mortal Kombat 2 directed by Simon McQuoid follows Johnny Cage joining the other fighters to defeat Shao Kahn, who threatens Earthrealm. The only good things are the visuals and the fight choreography. Everything else is as dead as the first one. It feels like a Power Rangers episode turned into a movie. The fight scene between Kung Lao and Liu Kang was the most beautiful one. The Johnny Cage and Baraka fight was also really enjoyable.

Drishyam 2.0, I bet Ajay Devgn has imagined himself as Mohanlal’s character and has also written the Hindi script. Thudarum, directed by Tharun Moorthy, is a crime thriller about a former stuntman who is deeply attached to his black Ambassador car. He lives a peaceful life with his family, but eventually gets pulled into an unwanted spiral that turns against him. Along with the cinematography, screenplay, and story, the standout is the antagonist. He initially appears as a sweet, kind gentleman, but as time passes, he reveals himself to be the most menacing presence. That character development is intense. And of course, Mohanlal delivers with charisma and effortless swag, backed by sharp action and screen presence. Totally worth it.

Good story. Loved the screenplay, the whole tour of brands and clothing, and the work culture of Runway. You can actually feel the pressure of a strict, mean boss, the overload of tasks, and the company norms through the screen and that was really well done. The problem I have is with the friendship narrative. It shows her friends and boyfriend getting annoyed because she doesn’t have time for them anymore, yet they don’t refuse the gifts she brings. In the end, she’s blamed for not giving them time like before. That’s a weak take on friendship. Yes, reality can be like that, but the film leans too much into making her seem wrong for prioritizing her job, the thing that literally pays her rent and food. Real friendships survive, who understands. If they don’t, they weren’t strong to begin with.

The most impressive part of this horror movie is how much it relies on sound. The alien has very little screen time. The environment Shyamalan creates, and the way the screenplay builds tension around it, is what really carries the horror. The scene where everyone looks at the half-filled glasses when they realize the aliens are afraid of water is powerful. And the line Bo says stuck with me: “There’s a monster outside my room. Can I have a glass of water?” It gave me a perspective, that the water we reach for during anxiety or a nightmare is what calms it, almost like it kills the fear. I don’t know if I made complete sense, or if I failed to explain it properly. But it was something. Striking.

S2 of Legacy of family drama ends. Pretty average season. All of this drama just for a little bit of monster play. Monsters!!!, which is why we watch it, but nope, they dragged it. So long that i know more about the characters then the actual monsters for which the shows made. But still production wise Apple studios never disappoints.

Good series, was engaging but i wanted more from the sci-fi plot, and less drama. And how they just left Tatiana part was annoying. Showing about her side and what was she upto also with this space mission, would've been more engaging instead of just stuffing drama and making it long.
