Fantasy Romance but heavily lacking on either theme. The story is interesting and the characters are likeable but it feels like we never dive deep into any aspect of them. Feels very surface level. The narration in my opinion is extremely tedious, I understand what the author was going for but the execution was not my favorite. Subtracted from the story more than it added. Quick noncommittal read but not something I would go back to.
