"the need to be the best before the need to rest". The singers sole reason for commitment or longing is the person being sung to. Even going so far as to endure pain for the other person. While they walk away alive, the singer slowly dies, still in unwavering commitment to this person. nightmusic= 🟧 similar sounding to color of moonlight, but I don't like the feeling the whispering gave me, so wouldn't listen to. skin= 🟩 needing human connection to feel human. someone is walking away and she can simultaneously feel her humanity fading. The comfort she found in that person was only a fleeting moment. know the way= 🟪 instrumentals give it a nice contrast from the rest of the album that had more of a futuristic dream like vibe. This feels like she regained the humanity she was talking about in skin. A good song to end the album and themes of humanity slipping away.
