as u may notice, will wood is my favorite artist. and i love all of his works, but this album.. this album is very special to me, bc it was the one to introduce me to this artist, it was my interlude in his creations. and i also feel deep connection to the themes William brings up in this songs. the central theme of The Normal Album is the concept of normalcy and its artificiality. in Suburbia Overture/ Greetings from Mary Bell Township!/ (Vampire) Culture/ Love Me, Normally it's about how one (or even a whole comunity) can hide toxic and dysfunctional self under the mask of an ideal person. in Love Me, Normally its about how one can't accepte themselves as who they are and needing to always pretend, even in front of beloved ones (actually there are lots of adpects and themes, but the ones described are the most relatable and even) #willwood #songs #album #thenormalalbum #imsonormalaboutit #normal (prob gonna upd later, bc rn im too lazy)
