oh wow. this movie was phenomenal. the casting was amazing and the imagery just really really brought a HUMAN take on a story i have experienced many times. i find that when violent stories are brought to life, in books sometimes it can be easier to not feel the real human impact, but with film you are forced to see these people. you are forced to interact with them in a way. it was beautifully done. the casting was some of the most astounding i have seen and truly deserves all the awards. christopher nolan's exploration of what makes a civilization, what does it look like when a civilization crumbles, and where the fuck do we go from here is truly both remarkable and timely. there is so much to discuss about it but for now i will let it sit here, until my other friends have seen it and we can analyze it together
