It was good, but the market of projects depicting financial greed is beyond the mark of "highly saturated." Most of the film and television projects in this genre comes down to acting performances, backstories, and other psychological elements. Fortunately, Gold Land had a grip upon those elements. The beginning episodes especially stood out when series Drama genre was at the front and center. It became generic in the later when the crime, chase, thrill took over. I would want to cut an extra star for the smart plotting in the climax scene which allows Disney+ to explore a second season. But to be fair, it was logical enough so I can't complain. ps: Park Bo-young was great as the bubbly-love interest in her earlier works. She proved herself through some psychological challenging roles. In this one, I so strongly wished for her to go completely haywire and channel a dark figure of crime. Alas, maybe some other day in a different project.
