Very interesting blending of genres. Incorporates horror / psychological thriller elements into a BL romance, in my opinion, rather successfully. Story keeps you involved as you follow the struggles of the main character and the inner turmoil he is dealing with. I enjoyed the exploration of how trauma can affect one’s perceptions and worldview. Particularly in how two characters who experienced the same event, walked away carrying different weights. I enjoyed the realistic push and pull of the couple and that they didn’t find each other and immediately reach a happy ending. Overall a great read.
