the promotion itself was brilliant. i mean having a satirical ad to portray how they always get public scrutiny for the most trivial things they do, aligning with what they talk about in this song? mm yeah. the mv itself visualizes this notion perfectly. they have several scenes that portray their life as ordinary human beings and as celebrities that are typically portrayed as always partying and wearing expensive outfits. the feeling of isolation and the constant questioning of whether they'd ever feel their normal life (the mirror in jungkook's room and yoongi trying to climb the gate to get to the other side but never did) were apparent. they even have someone taking pics of them then throwing around the polaroids, which pretty much obvious what it represents (ahem, sasaengs and news outlets). the price of success they have to endure, "fantasy and fame yeah the things we choose." as for the song, i prefer the english version more because it just fits more with the melody hence it sounds sonically better.
i breathe everything out like a thousand times normal and special they are just some lines one deep sigh then it slips away fades away what i try to keep never want to stay
