Gue kurang suka heheheh, review lengkapnya besok aj dahh --Anw, I don't really know how to feel about this one. It's probably the first 'Evil Dead' movie that left me feeling pretty underwhelmed. Like, all the ingredients that make it an 'Evil Dead' film are technically there, but for some reason it just doesn't feel like 'Evil Dead'??? The horror wasn't strong enough, and at some points I genuinely felt like I was watching an (supernatural) action movie because of how ridiculously chaotic everything got. I also didn't like a single character. The character writing felt really weak. The only one I could kind of root for was the main protagonist, and honestly, mostly because she's the main character. Even then, there were so many scenes where I kept wondering why they were making such dumb decisions. None of the characters felt particularly well-written or likable let alone memorable. What I did like was the story. It was pretty well put together, and I liked how it connected to the previous 'Evil Dead' movies. And if they're calling it "Evil Dead Burn", I kind of get it, because this movie really leans into that burn aspect over and over again... to the point where it gets a little exhausting lol. Overall, I was pretty disappointed. Hopefully the sequel is at least on the level of "Evil Dead Rise", because judging by the ending, I'm almost sure they're setting up for another movie.
